The Queen's Skirt Explodes
acrylic
38 x 50"
1994

This is one of a series; I had noticed that several artists, even the fabulous Ingres, often take more care with lace and fur and silks and pearls than with actual faces (which are more important, aren't they?). This was the final one; the queen's skirt has had it.
