This painting began its life as "In the Studio" (photo still in my portfolio). I felt I could re-work it into this series, where the odalisques find themselves, generally, in unfamiliar places... here is one work where the nudes are resting, rather uncomfortably, against one small blanket, surrounded by wooden supports and canvases, just visible under sanding and over-painting. This painting has been destroyed--- see the new version, "T-Square, Blue Nude in the Artist's Studio."
