We had travelled through France in the summers of 1989 and 1990; one remarkable feature of French traffic is the roundabout. People inside the circle, who can exit at any point, have the right of way over those entering the circle. At each entryway to a roundabout, this sign is posted, and it means that "you do not have priority/ the right of way" ... Whenever I came across a person who was insisting that s/he had priority, anywhere, I liked to think of this sign ...
