On the sea Wall, St. Ives
acrylic, pencil, collage on canvas
36" square

We rented a sea-view apartment in St. Ives. The weather should have been bleak and gray, but instead it was beautiful and clear. We looked over the harbor, where the tides left the fishing boats beached twice each day. The galleries were inspiring, as was Barbara Hepworth's studio. I did a lot of small drawings there, and I am the only one who likes those! This painting, now, is IN St. Ives, for me.
