The new work has begun to assert itself with the addition of text from a story that will keep moving across many panels and paintings. These works are an effort to draw and paint together. I think I am always counting on my colors to pull my paintings into life. I wanted to see if i couldn't draw my way into a dilemma and then color and write it into shape. This drawing brings out the leaves on the park floor, the vases in Sargent's paintings, the horizon to look for when it all seems crazy.
