In Greece, the temple columns at Delphi rise out of the light on a small hillside, surrounded by other hills. Balanced round stones create the columns, which dominate the space around them. I am trying to create the feeling of seeing them, as they are wrapped in this special space, for the first time....

After some time has passed, this seems to me not sufficiently strong, so I have painted over it... new painting to come...
