This is from a series "L'erba voglio non cresce/ neanche nel giardino del re" (the plant I want does not grow, not even in the gardens of the king). It is a saying for children in Italy who always say "I want....", but I treat it as saying the flower that I want does not grow... it is a way of showing the unattainable. (Thus the unlikely floral combinations).
