Portfolio > Paintings

This is part of a new series of works that seem to want to divide themselves into 2 pieces. This piece is painted over an older work on the Japanese Willow, and so has multiple layers, but showing now are three pieces of writing: one a French notebook page, another an interview with the painter Joan Mitchell, and the third, lines by Dylan Thomas written by my mother. (She died in 2005, and I found this tucked into her address book). I am experimenting with the power of grey.
