I wrote about Rhys Davies (artistinanaframe June 11, 2015) and have two of his portraits in my house: Emily Dickinson and Dylan Thomas. I have talked with him about painting on grocery bags, which adds a certain amount of freedom and daring (the materials are not exactly archival, but I do believe they will outlast all of us).

This is a visual poem to the peonies in our garden, and to a dream about Gertrude Stein writing on a wall... I have since re-worked it as "Gertrude goes to Rome."
